The variety is autochthonous to the Istrian peninsula and is widespread in Slovenia and Italy. Genetically distinct from other members of the Malvasia family. The plant has medium vigor. The leaf is five-lobed, cuneiform, slightly dissected, almost entire, without pubescence on the underside.
Clusters are cylindrical-conical, often winged, medium-dense or loose, weighing 200–250 g. Berries are small to medium, round, white, with a thick waxy bloom and medium-thickness skin. The variety is susceptible to frost and fungal diseases. The pulp is juicy, the taste is harmonious.
