The leaf is medium, rounded, five-lobed. Clusters are small, conical or cylindrical-conical; density varies from moderate to dense. Berries are small, rounded, purple in color, covered with a thick waxy bloom. The berry skin is very thick and firm.
The variety has the ability to withstand high temperatures. Wines are characterized by floral and fruity aromas, good structure, acidity, and potential for long aging, while having less intense color compared to other varieties of the Douro region.
