Trees possess high vegetative vigor and an upright growth habit with elliptical-lanceolate leaves. Fruits have low weight, less than 2 grams, and an egg-shaped asymmetrical form. Early onset of bearing with pronounced alternate bearing is characteristic.
The variety possesses tolerance to drought, however it is sensitive to cold, soil salinity, and high lime content. It exhibits resistance to Verticillium wilt and olive leaf spot, but is vulnerable to a range of pests, including the olive fruit fly, and fungal infections such as anthracnose.
The oil is distinguished by a mild taste with notes of apple and green leaves, but is characterized by a low yield and low linoleic acid content. The variety is difficult to propagate by cuttings, therefore it is more often used as rootstock for other olive trees.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
