The variety is native to the border regions of Slovenia and Italy. There are assumptions about its genetic link to the Vitovska variety or its origin as a result of crossing the Prosecco Tondo and Malvasia Bianca Lunga varieties. The plant is characterized by medium vigor and belongs to varieties with a medium ripening period.
The variety possesses high resistance to adverse climatic conditions, including drought, cold, and strong winds. The technical qualities of the grapes allow for the creation of dry white wines balanced in acidity with a pronounced structure and notes of pear, citrus, and wildflowers.
