Variety description

The variety is the result of a spontaneous crossing of the varieties Moscato di Alessandria and Schiava Grossa. The plant has moderate vigor. The leaf is medium-sized, five-lobed or three-lobed, almost entire, with an open lyre-shaped petiolar sinus.

Bunches are medium-sized, weighing 200–250 g, conical or cylindro-conical in shape, with density ranging from medium to dense. Berries are medium, round, yellow-green in color. On the skin of mature berries, there are dark pigment spots, which gave the variety the synonym Puntinata.

The variety is characterized by low resistance to fungal diseases: downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold. Wines from this variety are distinguished by a straw-yellow color, good structure and alcohol content, and possess an intense fruity-floral aroma with muscat and mineral notes.
