The variety is a hybrid of Pinot Noir and Pirovano 1. The plant forms as a vine, and its leaves have silky, tomentose pubescence. Clusters of medium or large size consist of pink berries with thick skin and a waxy bloom.
The grape possesses a certain resistance to diseases, particularly to downy mildew, and frost resistance. Deep, well-moistened soils in areas protected from the wind are preferable for its cultivation.
The primary purpose of the variety is the production of wines that, in their organoleptic characteristics, are compared to Gewürztraminer. The finished product is distinguished by moderate or reduced acidity and aromas of peach, lychee, and rose.
