Aphids are small sap-sucking pests that deplete plant cell sap during feeding, inhibiting photosynthesis and protein synthesis. To maintain stability, agronomists apply the rotation of varieties with different resistance genes and combine their use in mixtures, avoiding monoculture with identical characteristics on the same land areas over long periods.
